How Dick Cheney Had Nothing to Do with Egypt's Revolution

(With apologies to Dr. Seuss.)

...He stared down at Egypt
And Dick had a start
Then he shook!
What he saw was a shock to his heart!

Every citizen in Cairo, the tall and small
Was singing! At President Mubarak’s fall!
He hadn’t seen revolution coming!
IT CAME!
Somehow or other, it came just the same!

And Dick Cheney, and all of his pals on the right
Stood puzzling and puzzling at this wonderful sight

“It came without shock! Without awe! Without Yanks!
It came without Blackwater, Rumsfeld or Franks!"
And he puzzled for seconds, 'till his puzzler was bruised.
Then Dick Cheney thought of something he never once mused!
Maybe revolution doesn’t come from FOX News.
Maybe revolution…perhaps…comes from those once abused.

And what happened then…?
…in Egypt, they say
That Dick Cheney’s fake heart
Was unmoved to this day

For the man without heart will never feel right,
When the people, themselves, step up to the fight
And so old Dick Cheney slunk back out of sight
Happy freedom to all, and to all a good night!
